Fanciers of Dogo Argentino Dogs join the breed clubs. One of the major goals of such clubs is the attentive preservation of the breed's characteristics, the creation of an excellent breeding stock and the supervision of the Dogo Argentino's owners and breeders. Clubs strive to educate their members and public on the breed and the current situation with the breed. They also build and maintain contacts with other Dogo Argentino Clubs.

Dogo Argentinos - Health

Both Dogo Argentino parents should be OFA certified for hips. Ask your breeder about allergies, and skin conditions. White coats are sensitive to sunburns and are sometimes connected with hearing problems.

Dogo Argentinos - Exercise Needs

These dogs thrive on vigorous exercise and need to be trained to stay fit and healthy. Dogo Argentinos enjoy various athletic activities together with their masters. The breed requires a confident owner who will easily handle a strong-minded Dogo Argentino. Providing enough exercise and mental stimulation is a must in Dogos.

Dogo Argentinos - Grooming

Dogo Argentinos have a single coat, which is quite easy to take care of. The breed is an average shedder. These dogs have no doggy odor. Special attention should be paid to the nails of the dog. Frequent nail clipping is required, because the nails tend to grow very fast. Dental care and regular veterinary check-ups will keep Dogo Argentinos in a good condition.
